Rollover accident in Dodge County; Watertown man deported, arrested for OWI

A 38-year-old Watertown man was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 18, after crashing his SUV in Lebanon Township.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on County Road MM near Robin Road.

Initial investigation showed the SUV was traveling eastbound on County Road MM and failed to negotiate a left turn. The driver of the SUV overcorrected and crossed the center line and into the westbound lane of MM County Road. The SUV entered the north ditch and struck an embankment, causing the SUV to overturn and the driver to be ejected.

The Watertown man (and sole occupant) was transported by helicopter to Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was then arrested for fifth offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
