The Home Ministry has asked foreign nationals staying and working illegally in Bangladesh to obtain legal documents by January 31.

The ministry today (December 26) issued a warning in this regard.

“It is brought to the notice of all concerned that many foreign nationals are staying/working illegally in Bangladesh. In this case, foreign nationals staying/working illegally in Bangladesh are requested to acquire necessary documents to stay or work in Bangladesh before 31. January 2025,” the notice read.

After the expiration of the deadline, legal proceedings will be initiated against persons staying illegally and against the competent institutions.

All relevant departments and institutions are also requested to provide necessary cooperation in this regard, the statement said.
