Knoxville is accepting applications from neighbors who excel at giving back

The Knoxville Office of Neighborhood Empowerment is calling for nominations for its Diana Conn Good Neighbor of the Year Award.

Applicants should be helpful neighbors who go out of their way to help and support others without expecting recognition. Candidate activities could include joyful service, creating and executing inclusive neighborhood events, contributions to neighborhood parks, gardens and beautification projects and intentional leadership for a variety of neighborhood issues, according to a press release.

The award was established in 2013 and honors the late Diana Conn for her service to the community.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on December 2 and can be filed on the City of Knoxville website, knoxvilletn.gov. The award winner will be celebrated at the district’s awards dinner in March.
