Scream Queens actress defends Keke Palmer for ‘speaking out’

In his new book, Master Of Me: The secret to controlling your narrative, Kéké Palmer spilled the tea on some not-so-pleasant experiences during his time on Scream Queens. And now his former co-star Skyler Samuels entered the chat to support her.

Skyler, who had to call her character “Señorita Awesome” on the show, took to Instagram to show her support for Keke. “I’m incredibly proud of Keke for speaking out about her experiences on Scream Queens. That’s what Keke does, she speaks out and stands up for herself and others,” she wrote. Honestly, we are a supportive queen.

Skyler then revealed that the show wasn’t exactly a walk in the park for her either. “Scream Queens It was a very stimulating show for me. Keke was one of the only people who stood up for me,” she wrote.

Now, let’s back up a bit and get into the nitty-gritty of what Keke actually said. Apparently, she had a bad experience with none other than the show’s creator. Ryan Murphy.

In her book, Keke recounted a time she tried to plan another concert during a break from filming. Ryan’s response? Let’s just say it wasn’t exactly warm and fuzzy.

She spoke more about the situation at Los Angeles Times and according to Keke, “it was a bit like being in the dean’s office.” He said to me: “I’ve never seen you behave like this. I can’t believe you, of all people, would do something like that.’

I have officially set a new record for how far I can roll my eyes at a man.

Keke also dropped a bombshell over a racist comment made by a co-star she nicknamed “Brenda.” When Keke attempted to play peacemaker during an on-set argument, “Brenda” reportedly responded, “Keke, literally, don’t do it.” Who do you think you are? Martine fucking Luther King” Oof, “Brenda” needs to sit down.

Ryan Murphy has not yet responded to comments about him or the series.

Skyler concluded her post by saying, “(Keke) was brave enough to support me even though she knew it could make her the target of bullies on set.

“I have infinite gratitude for the professionalism and kindness Keke showed me. She is a leading woman in this industry, well aware of her influence and she uses it for the best.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to add Keke’s book to my Christmas wish list. Spill that tea, girl!
