“The blowout is located on the B9006 road between Culloden Moor Inn and Brookfield, and traffic management is in place to ensure the safety of the public and our crews while we carry out the repair. Please consider an alternative route if possible, to avoid possible delays to your travel.

“Tank trucks continue to distribute water into the network to restore and maintain supply to as many customers as possible. However, please be aware that some customers may not have water or experience low water pressure /intermittent until the repair is complete.”

They continued: “Some customers may also experience discoloration of the water, which is normal during such an incident.

“If you experience brown water, we advise running your kitchen cold water faucet at reduced pressure until it is clear. Do not open any other faucets or use any water appliances during this time and follow the same process with all other affected faucets once the water is clear from your kitchen cold water faucet.

“If you experience white water, it is air trapped in the food supply and will disappear within 24 to 48 hours.

“We apologize to all affected customers for any inconvenience or disruption caused, and thank them for their continued patience and cooperation.”
