Accused rapist Yung Filly charged with reckless driving after ‘speeding at 100 mph’ while…

British rapper and YouTuber Yung Filly faces a new reckless driving charge after driving at “nearly 100 mph” while on bail following rape allegations.

Yung Filly, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was caught driving 98 mph in a 60 mph zone in High Wycombe, Western Australia, on November 17.

It comes as the 29-year-old social media star remains on bail on rape and assault charges, following an incident in Perth in September.

Barrientos remains in Australia ahead of his trial after allegedly raping and strangling a woman at a Perth hotel in September.

Mr Barrientos appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 9, where he was charged with three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and four counts of sexual penetration without consent and one count of obstructing the breathing or circulation of another person by applying pressure to the neck.

Barrientos will now appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 19, charged with careless driving. On the same day, he will now also appear for the previous sexual assault allegations.

The initial charges against Barrientos involve the rapper taking a university student in his 20s back to his hotel room after he performed at a Perth nightclub.

Court documents say the alleged victim was with a friend in the VIP section of the club, where she met Barrientos after the show.

Barrientos’ latest incident will now see Barrientos appear in Perth Magistrates Court, charged with dangerous driving, on Thursday, December 19. On the same day, he will now also appear for the previous sexual assault allegations.

Police arrested Barrientos in October in Brisbane and extradited him to Perth to face charges. Barrientos was released on bail on strict conditions, including a ban on contacting his alleged victim or posting information about the case on social media.

He cannot leave Western Australia for six months, where he must report to the police station every day, and has been ordered to pay AUD100,000 bail.

Now he faces a new charge of dangerous driving, after being arrested for speeding last month. The car he was driving has since been seized.

Born in Cali, Columbia Barrientos moved with his family to the United Kingdom when he was a child. His family moved first to Orpington, Bromley, and then to south-east London.

He rose to fame in 2017 as a comedian and internet personality. His comedy sketches have allowed him to develop a huge online fan base on YouTube, where he now has 1.8 million subscribers.

After establishing an online following, Barrientos turned his attention to music. His best-known songs are those from 2020 Trust2022 Day to day And Gray, a collaboration with Brit Award winner Aitch, released earlier this year.

He won the Mobo Award for Best Media Personality in 2021, and in recent years has presented TV shows and appeared in The celebrity bakes.
