Southeast Hamilton Schools announced Wednesday evening a 3 percent salary increase for support staff (non-certified) districtwide, capped at a maximum increase of $1,400. Additionally, some positions will benefit from additional salary adjustments to reflect changes in their scope of work.

Superintendent Pat Mapes and his leadership team will not receive a salary increase. However, administrators will receive an increase of $1,400. The move was approved by the Southeast Hamilton Schools board at its meeting on Wednesday.

“We are grateful for the dedication and hard work of our support staff, and we thank the board of directors for approving the salary increases,” Mapes said. “From bus drivers and food service workers to custodians and administrative professionals, these people are the backbone of southeast Hamilton. By granting this increase, we hope to show our appreciation and support for their essential role in the success of all students.

This announcement follows the board’s recent approval of the 2024-25 teacher contract, which included a $1,400 base salary increase for returning teachers, as well as other financial benefits.

Employees hired after July 1, 2024 will not be eligible for this increase since their salary for 2024-25 was determined at the time of hire.

Hamilton Southeastern Schools remains committed to balancing the needs of employees with the trust and support of the community. The district continues to allocate resources efficiently while ensuring that all staff feel valued for their essential role in creating a world-class educational environment.
