The countdown is on and everyone is impatiently awaiting the return of the legendary Indian television series. Yes, we are talking about CID, which is making an epic comeback this month with its season 2. The iconic trio of Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty and Aditya Srivastava returns to entertain the audience after a long time. Amidst this, there have been rumors of other cast members returning, and one of those names is Narendra Gupta.

For those who don’t know, Gupta was associated with the show since its beginning and played the character of Dr. Salunkhe. He was part of the show when the series began in 1998 and remained there until 2003. In 2004, he was not part of the cast but made a return in 2005. Again, in 2006, he took an exit, to then return. 2007. Upon his return in 2007, he remained on the series until it was taken off the air in 2018.

As CID premieres on television with its season 2, rumors are rife that Narendra Gupta will also return to his iconic character of Dr. Salunkhe. Even the actor himself hinted at the same while posting the promos of season 2 on his X account. If he comes, it will definitely be a fun ride as in the past Salunkhe has been an interesting character to monitor.

In some of our recent CID-related articles, we have covered rumors about actor salaries associated with the series. Now here we are going to talk about the salary of Narendra Gupta. Although this figure has not been officially confirmed, it is learned that Gupta previously received a remuneration of 40,000 rupees for every episode of the last years of season 1. MensXP and other portals reported the same.

Shivaji Satam, alias ACP Pradyuman, reportedly used to get 1 million for each episode. So, if we compare the two, Narendra Gupta was paid 60% less than Satam. The difference is totally understood since Gupta played a supporting role, unlike Satam.

Meanwhile, CID Season 2 will premiere on December 21 on Sony Entertainment Television.
