Sabrina Carpenter’s Christmas Cookies Hit All the Right Notes

Sabrina Carpenter’s Christmas Cookies Hit All the Right Notes

Watch out for Mariah Carey: A new pop star is coming in for the title of Queen of Christmas, and she also has her own Christmas cookie recipe. Yes, we’re talking about Sabrina Carpenter, who just finished the Short n’ Sweet Tour after a year at the top of the charts.

This week, the pop star was back in the news after releasing her musical holiday special “Nonsense Christmas” on Netflix, so we think it’s time to bring back the mouth-watering cookie recipe she posted on the social networks last Christmas. And no, before you even ask, it doesn’t contain espresso.

Now we know these cookies aren’t the most revolutionary recipe ever released by a celebrity. However, there’s a reason the TikTok video was viewed nearly 10 million times last year: any cookie covered in M&M’s is an instant classic.

That being said, “Please, please, please,” consider adding a batch of delicious Carpenter Christmas Cookies to your holiday baking list this year. (Note: The adorably fluffy sous chef is not required, but highly recommended.) We tried them in the Allrecipes test kitchen, and here’s how to make them.

How to Make Sabrina Carpenter’s Viral Christmas Cookies

Obviously, this is a pretty standard chocolate chip cookie or M&M, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious. According to her TikTok, Sabrina’s recipe starts with melted butter and brown sugar (although we prefer a combination of brown and brown sugar), combined with a hand mixer. Once the sugar and butter have reached a smooth consistency, she adds the eggs.

In another bowl, the singer mixes the dry ingredients. Carpenter sifts the flour and baking soda (a totally professional move), then slowly adds them to the butter-sugar mixture. Then she adds semi-sweet chocolate chips and red and green holiday M&M’s – which Sabrina values, so add as many sweet desires as you like. You can also add mini M&Ms if you like, or add green food coloring to turn them into Grinch cookies.

Baked cookies are soft, chewy and irresistible. Trust us, the delicious taste of this dessert will leave “quite an impression”. So preheat your oven, turn on Netflix, and whip up a batch of these cookies that Allrecipes Senior Producer Nicole McLaughlin calls “good.”

Sabrina Carpenter’s Christmas Cookie Recipe

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1-1 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 3/4-1 cup red and green M&M’s

  1. In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the butter and both sugars together until smooth and thick. Add the eggs one by one, mixing in between, then add the vanilla.

  2. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and M&Ms and refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes.

  3. Scoop out tablespoons of dough and form into balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes, or until just browned around the edges. Let cool on the pan for 3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
