Has Mazda Leaked a 2025 Update for the CX-60? | CarGuide.PH

Did Mazda inadvertently confirm the presence of a facelifted CX-60? This appears to be the case, according to the automaker’s Japanese website, which shows a slightly updated front fascia for its large 5-seater SUV in a single photo.

Although the automaker mentioned minor updates to the CX-60’s colors and trim for 2025, it didn’t mention anything about an exterior refresh. So it’s surprising that a photo shows a CX-60 Rhodium White (in the XD Sport variant) sporting a different front bumper.

Compared to the current CX-60, the updated version has cleaner and thinner vertically oriented air intakes. Visually, it brings the CX-60 closer to its larger cousin, the CX-90. It should also make it easier to distinguish it from its ’60s three-row sibling, the recently launched CX-80, which retains the previous bumper design.

You can also see the updated design in accessorized form as part of the CX-60’s Signature Style package which adds bumper lips and side skirts (pictured above).

Chief among the updates is the appearance of Zircon Sand as an available color for the first time on the CX-60 (honestly, we thought Melting Copper would look better, but hey, what do we know?). Originally available only on Mazda’s small vehicle range, such as the global variants of the Mazda3, CX-30, CX-50 and even the MX-5, Zircon Sand is said to be inspired by the color of sand used in the engine casting. Its availability in the CX-60 makes it the largest vehicle offered in this unique color.

The Zircon Sand hue aside, a new variant dubbed the CX-60 SP brings back the black fenders and lower bumper finishes to the CX-60. This is complemented by a piano black grille with honeycomb inserts, black chrome side wing garnish, gloss black mirrors and variant-exclusive 20-inch wheels with black metallic paint. From the photos, it looks like a scaled-up CX-5, and that’s something we’d love for you to comment on below.

As for the rest of the 2025 CX-60 lineup, it receives a new calibration of the electric power steering and rear-biased all-wheel drive. It also incorporates measures to reduce various noises and vibrations while driving.
