Changes to Shropshire bus timetables for Christmas and New Year, including Park & ​​Ride and local services

Shropshire Council has announced changes to local services including park and ride buses, the Connect On-Demand service and other local bus services in the area.

Customers are advised to check with their operator to confirm arrangements before traveling during the holiday period.

Below is a list of changes to bus services in Shropshire over Christmas and New Year.

Shrewsbury Park and Ride

Between Monday 23 December and Saturday 4 January, Shrewsbury’s Park & ​​Ride service will operate on a Saturday timetable, meaning the first bus will leave each park and ride site at 8am, the last bus returning to its respective site at 6:30 p.m.

The service will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, and there will also be no service on Sundays.

Normal service will resume from Monday January 6.

Connect On-Demand – Shropshire Council’s flexible bus service

Between Monday 23 December and Saturday 4 January, Shropshire Council’s Connect On-Demand service will operate as normal, except for a few dates.

The service will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

In the meantime, on Saturday December 28, the service will only operate between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The customer booking line (0345 678 9013) will close at 2pm on Christmas Eve and will not reopen until 10am on Thursday 2 January. The council has asked users to ensure all bookings are made at this time. The app will still be available to take reservations during this time.

There is also no service on Sundays.

Ludlow Park and Ride – 722

The Ludlow Park & ​​Ride bus service will operate as normal over the festive period.

However, the service will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
