DIY SOS anchor now needs a pair of crutches to walk

Nick, 62, was seen wearing a leg brace that stretched from his left ankle to his knee, and negotiating sidewalks with a pair of crutches.

The DIY SOS frontman also wore an arm brace covering his left elbow following a separate injury and wore a short-sleeved top to better accommodate his straps.

He enjoyed a kiss with Katie outside the couple’s Berkshire property before heading to their vehicle.

The lingerie brand founder wore brown leggings, brown boots and a flesh-colored cardigan, holding Nick’s coat as he walked towards the vehicle.

She pulled her brunette hair back into a ponytail and wore minimal makeup for their day.

Mum-of-one Katie – who will marry the TV icon next year – then stood by the passenger door as Nick slid into the seat.

Nick’s first injury came before he was sent off Strictly with his show partner Luba Mushtuk.

This happened when Nick was changing a tire on his car, causing him to injure his shoulder after the first live show.

The presenter’s Strictly future was then left up in the air after a botched knee jump during rehearsals, leaving him on crutches and requiring surgery.

He has kept fans updated on his health issues, recently revealing he needed an MRI on his arm.

RETURN OF TV

Meanwhile, The Sun recently exclusively revealed when Nick will return to TV despite his injuries.

The DIY SOS presenter will return to screens in the new year for another broadcast of his Amazing Railway Adventures on Channel 5.

An insider said: “It’s clear that viewers enjoy a dangling railway, given the sheer number of shows on at the moment across multiple channels, it’s escapist TV.

“Chris Tarrant’s previous travel series performed well for Channel 5 before the veteran decided to retire and Nick is just as popular with viewers.

“Another fling was recorded long before Nick signed up to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.

“It was left out by bosses but will be broadcast at some point next year at prime time.”

Nick has previously explained that his surgery will force him to keep things low-key over the festive period.

He explained: “I’m going to rest until February but then I have to shoot for DIY SOS.

“I really hope I’ll be back on my feet by then, although I won’t be fully recovered until August next year.

“We have our wedding booked for next summer and we are planning to be able to have a first dance.

“It won’t be a full Strictly routine but I’m determined to have a special dance with Katie.”
