EastEnders star reveals ‘high intensity drama’ at Suki and Eve’s wedding

EastEnders Star Balvinder Sopal has teased “high-intensity drama” ahead at Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin’s wedding.

The couple are set to get married on New Year’s Day, although danger lurks in the form of Nish after his prison escape.

Opening up about Suki’s feelings before the wedding, Balvinder admitted that her character was “obviously very nervous and anxious” about marrying Eve.

“I think it’s been a long time coming, and I think Suki can’t believe that she’s finally allowed, or rather allowed herself, to invite some happiness into what’s to come. change the rest of his life,” she explained.

“It’s a pivotal moment in Suki’s psyche, as she gives in to happiness, which hasn’t really happened before for her character, but in true soap opera style, nothing goes right.”

She admitted that Suki was nervous about Nish and that “there was a huge cloud hanging over this happy moment” in her life.

“Nish is not someone who leaves things alone, and if he gets wind of it, there is always the danger that he will somehow get involved and destroy all the happiness of Suki,” she said.

“Not just her, the whole family, because it’s a really sweet time for everyone involved, and Nish has the potential to totally rip her out from under her feet. Everyone is gearing up as Nish has a vendetta.

“Suki knows Nish too well, and I think she may have led herself to believe that this was the end of him, but I don’t think she’s entirely surprised that he broke out,” added Balvinder.

“What surprised her was the length he went to to show her face again. I also think she’s a lot stronger now, which is why she’s making the decision to continue.”

Noting that “there’s always a lot of drama” with the Panesars, the star joked, “They were born into drama! (Laughter) Drama follows them everywhere, so yes in real life EastEndersIn true Walford fashion, you can expect the Panesars to bring a whole host of high-intensity drama. »

Further teasing what fans can expect, Balvinder said, “You can expect beauty, in every sense of the word. Very intense drama, I mean, that was three words in itself. (Laughter)And edge-of-your-seat drama!”

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on BBC One. The show is also broadcast on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes are broadcast early at 6am before their television broadcast.
