A new Birmingham restaurant has opened in the city center and transforms into a nightclub at the weekend. Describing itself as “Birmingham’s new culinary gem”, Caesar’s has replaced Indian restaurant Dilbar on Broad Street.

Keeping the same cuisine as its predecessor, Caesar’s offers curry dishes such as butter chicken, lamb biryani and Delhi 6 paneer. Some of the more unique dishes include rabbit curry, rabbit Maharaja and lobster thermidor.

On weekends, the restaurant transforms into a nightclub with resident DJs and the space converted into a dance floor. Every Saturday, Caesar’s hosts Bhangra-themed events that include a mix of Bollywood and RnB until late at night.

Despite being located on popular Broad Street, the venue has seen a mix of changes and owners over the years. In 2011, Brazilian restaurant Amazon Brazil opened, but it eventually gave way to Punjabi restaurant EastZEast. Since then, the space has been home to Indian restaurant Dilbar and West African restaurant Bantu.

Once again an Indian restaurant, Caesar’s joins Varanasi, Celebrity and Pushkar as Indian restaurants on Broad Street. In addition to Bhangra nights, the restaurant plans to host Romanian-themed parties in Birmingham in the future.
