Miami Dolphins (+3) against the HOUSTON TEXANS

This game isn’t played in 40 degree temperatures, so we don’t have to worry about the Dolphins getting milder than Charmin.

Miami needs a win to stay in playoff contention and its offense is clicking, making it an underdog in Houston.

We also take into account that the Texans are hard to trust right now behind inconsistent second-year QB CJ Stroud.

Houston’s last five games include losses to the Jets and Titans, blowing a big lead against the Lions and barely beating the Jaguars in Week 13.

The Texans haven’t played well at home either, going 4-2 with wins by six, four and twice by three points.

This looks like a close game that will come down to a field goal, and we’ll face the underdog who we think can win outright.

Justin Herbert throws a pass during the Chargers’ Week 12 loss to the Raiders. P.A.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+3) vs. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Both teams are struggling, but we think the Buccaneers offense can keep this one close, and maybe even win.

The Chargers have overachieved this season, but they are led by RB JK Dobbins and TE Will Dissly, star rookie Ladd McConkey missed last week due to injury and, oh, Justin Herbert is a little down.

Los Angeles is also in a state of offensive funk, having scored just 17 points in each of its last two games.

Betting on the NFL?

Tampa Bay, meanwhile, has scored at least 20 in all but one game.

The Bucs’ defense is concerning, but we hope their offense can make enough plays.

The Chargers’ once vaunted defense has also regressed recently when facing tougher teams.

LAST WEEK: 0-2. Falcons (L), Saints (L).

SEASON: 10-18.
