Man convicted of threatening to shoot woman while bringing ‘AK47-style gun’ to work

A man who threatened to shoot a family member while working has learned his punishment.

Michael Robinson was sentenced to 12 months in prison after pleading guilty to causing panic, according to Clark County court documents.

Charges of terrorism and terrorist threat were dismissed.

As News Center 7 previously reported, On August 26, Robinson threatened to show up at a family member’s work and shoot them.

The next day, a Pratt Industries manager told police that Robinson had threatened a family member, who was an employee, and said he planned to bring an AK47 and “light that (expletive) up.” .

Robinson called the family member in front of the manager and told him he would “come to the company to shoot him.”

Robinson then drove to Pratt Industries and parked in the parking lot, prompting the manager to lock down the business, according to court documents.

An hour later, police arrived and found Robinson.

The family member told the manager the gun was still in Robinson’s trunk and he told the manager he would “get out of jail and come back.”

A Pratt Industries employee told police he took the gun out of Robinson’s car.

Police recovered the “AK47-style pistol” and found two loaded magazines and two loaded AR-15 magazines in Robinson’s car, according to court documents.

The manager told police he lost $15,000 and that 75 employees were present during the incident.
