Eddie Redmayne lands his next film role in Julia Roberts’ thriller

Fantastic Beasts Star Eddie Redmayne has landed his next film role in a thriller alongside Julia Roberts.

According to The Hollywood ReporterRedmayne has signed on to star in the Warner Bros. thriller. Pictures titled Panic with caution alongside Roberts and Marvel Cinematic Universe actress Elizabeth Olsen.

Taking on the writing tasks for the feature film is Mister Robot writer Sam Esmail, who is also on hand to direct the project. Plot details are being kept under wraps.

According to The Hollywood ReporterThe film, which will involve the hunt for a cyberterrorist, is described as a “paranoid thriller” that takes inspiration from the iconic thriller The silence of the lambs.

The project also marks a reunion between Roberts and Esmail following their collaboration on last year’s Netflix hit. Leave the world behind.

Esmail and Roberts have worked together on several occasions, with Esmail previously directing Roberts in the first season of Return home.

Previously speaking to digital spy on working with the director on the 2023 psychological thriller Leave the world behindRoberts said: “I think I knew going into it that I understood Sam’s approach, which is so brilliant and so intelligent.

“His idea of ​​setting the tone and where he’s coming from musically. He would play music on set for us and he creates a whole universe, so it’s a really fun place to go and work because he provides everything.

“It’s like…all the tools in the toolbox are just open and available every day.”

Meanwhile, Redmayne recently starred in the Sky Original reboot of the Hitman series. The Day of the Jackal.

An adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s 1971 political thriller of the same name, the series, which proved popular with audiences, aired its finale on December 12.
