Not all actors get the desired fame in Bollywood. Today we are going to talk about one such actor who came to Mumbai with acting dreams in his pockets. He starred in many films alongside superstars, but unfortunately failed to achieve the success he wanted. Born February 13, 1976, Sharad Kapoor moved from Kolkata to Mumbai to become an actor. Although he had no ties to the world of cinema, he was looking for opportunities to boost his career in the 90s.

During this time he participated in an event named Hope 86 which took place in Calcutta. Witnessing the popularity of the film stars who attended the event, he was fascinated by their popularity among the public and decided to join Bollywood.

His struggle in the world of cinema started from there and like most foreigners, it surely was not easy. For about six months, Sharad did not find any work. Most of the time, he continued to roam the streets of Mumbai. He finally got the opportunity to star in a TV show. Despite a small role, Sharad agreed to do a series called Swabhimaan.

In 1994, Sharad finally made his debut with Mera Pyara Bharat. It was a commercial success with positive word of mouth from audiences and critics. Later he was signed by Mahesh Bhatt for the film Dastak alongside Sushmita Sen. Subsequently, he acted in a few films like Jai Ho, Tamanna, Lakshya, onesd Jos.

Even after doing 43 films and working with superstars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai, the actor failed to make it big in Bollywood. Unfortunately, Sharad’s career never took off as he hoped.

Talking about his personal life, Sharad got married to Koel Basu, former granddaughter of former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu, in 2008. He currently lives in Mumbai, away from the world of glitz and glamor .
