Kentucky adds IOL transfer pledge, former Razorback

Kentucky football added a commitment Monday morning from former Arkansas offensive lineman Joshua Braun, the Wildcats’ third transfer of their offseason.

Braun was a premier lineman for the Razorbacks, helping clear the way for Ja’Quinden Jackson and protecting shifty quarterback Taylen Green. Over the last 2 seasons, Braun has only allowed 3 sacks, playing 1,625 snaps in total.

Braun traveled to Kentucky in the middle of last week.

As you can see above, Braun is a former 2nd team All-SEC selection and has several years of starting experience in the SEC. Before landing at Arkansas, Braun originally committed to Florida, playing 2 seasons for the Gators in a limited role.

23 of Braun’s 24 starts at Arkansas came at right guard, and he will likely maintain his role on the interior of the offensive line with the Wildcats. Tackles are often considered the primary pass protectors, but Kentucky still sorely needs help along the O-line — the Wildcats’ unit ranked 116th in the nation in sacks allowed last season.

Braun is the third transfer commitment of the offseason so far for Kentucky, joining USC rush transfer Sam Greene and Marshall LB Landyn Watson.
