Rashee Rice’s mother avoids punishment after doorbell camera catches her stealing neighbor’s Chappell Roan records

Rashee Rice’s mother avoids punishment after doorbell camera catches her stealing neighbor’s Chappell Roan records

Rashee Rice’s mother will not face punishment after being accused of package theft in October, it has been reported.

Doorbell camera footage allegedly showed Marsha Kearney taking a neighbor’s package — filled with records from singer Chappell Roan, according to TMZ — and Rice’s mother was charged with a misdemeanor as a result.

However, TMZ reported Monday that the case had been closed.

Citing documents from Tarrant County, Texas, TMZ reported that Kearney agreed to complete several conditions, including a theft intervention program and 24 hours of community service.

She also paid $125 in restitution, it was reported.

Kearney surrendered on October 15.

Rice, 24, is expected to miss the remainder of the Chiefs’ season with a serious knee injury.

In the video of the alleged theft, obtained by TMZ, a woman walks past the camera wearing a “Momma-Rice” jersey with the number 4 on it and looks straight into the lens as she walks by.

Moments later, the woman returns and uses her foot to drag a package away from the door.

However, just when she thought she was out of view of the camera, the woman is seen leaning over to grab the package – lifting a box then walking away.

Earlier this year, Kearney was also accused of stealing a number of household items from a man, including food, cups, laundry products, merchandise and socks. The case was ultimately dismissed on June 4 after Kearney appeared before a judge and fulfilled unspecified conditions, a court official told TMZ.

Rice himself was also involved in a major incident with police in April when he was caught fleeing the scene of a horrific high-speed crash on a Dallas highway. Four other vehicles were damaged in the crash, which could have been fatal.

Rice was ultimately charged with aggravated assault, collision resulting in serious bodily injury, and six counts of collision resulting in injury.

The second-year receiver, who caught seven touchdowns as a rookie, has not played since suffering a serious knee injury in Week 4.

He is not expected to return this season.
