Britney Spears’ Friends ‘Concerned’ About Jayden’s Career Plans

Pop star Britney Spears is currently working to repair her relationship with her son, Jayden James, 18.

The “Oops!… I Did It Again” singer shares two children – Jayden and Sean Preston, 19, with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

Jayden has reportedly reached out to his famous mother to repair their relationship, but the pop star’s friends fear he may have another “motivation” to reach out.

In her 2023 memoir, “The Woman In Me,” Britney Spears hinted that she was ready to retire from music after what she experienced during her controversial 13-year conservatorship to which she was submitted from February 2008 to November 2021.

Since then, she has only released two songs: “Hold Me Closer” with Sir Elton John and “Mind Your Business” with will.i.am. However, it seems her son, Jayden, is interested in a music career and has asked his mother to help him get his foot in the door.

In mid-November, a source spoke with the Daily Mail about Jayden’s recent visit, hinting that those close to the “Toxic” singer fear she’s being exploited.

“Jayden just turned 18 two months ago, and shortly after, he contacted Britney, telling her that he missed her and that he felt that she had shown that she was better,” he said. declared a source to the newspaper. “Everyone around her is cautiously optimistic.”

They noted how the “Crossroads” actress had been “devastated” during a 2022 interview with British broadcaster ITV, in which he criticized her behavior on social media and claimed to have suffered “trauma emotional” from his peers because of his publications.

A source later told the publication that the estranged mother and son bonded over their love of music. “She thinks he’s incredibly talented and she takes all the credit for his musical abilities,” the source said. “Jayden is determined to make it in the music industry and Britney is ready to give him every advantage.”

Even though his friends fear he’s only using his name to break into the music industry, it seems the “Circus” singer just wants to repair her broken relationship with her son. “Whatever the motivation, Britney knows she wouldn’t do anything for her boys, and she’s confident about it,” our source said.

They added: “Jayden now has the key to the music industry, with the money and connections to make his dreams come true.”

Sean Preston and Jayden James are both over 18, which means child support payments are coming to an end. THE Daily Mail reported that the pop star has been paying alimony to her ex for around 17 years, totaling around $5 million.

Since K-Fed had physical custody of the boys for most of that time, Britney knows she needs to take things “step by step” with her two sons in order to repair their relationship.

“She’s looking to get things back to some normalcy and would like to see if Sean wants to visit her soon as well,” the source explained. “She’s taking it step by step and just enjoying the simple things with Jayden, just hanging out, eating, talking, just having quality time with mom.”

“The process is happening day by day because their bond has been broken for so long that she wants to repair what’s most important to her, and Jayden seems all for it,” they added.

Even though both boys left California to live with their father and stepmother in Hawaii, it seems Britney hasn’t given up on repairing their relationship. In June, another source told Daily Mail that his brother, Brian Spearshelped the singer repair her relationship with her children.

“Britney has been talking and working on her relationship with Sean Preston and Jayden for months now,” the source said at the time. “The boys have so much love for their mother, just as she loves them.”
