New, old version: Start with USB-C

Panasonic has a large pressrummel for the installation of two new cameras in the LUMIX product palette: The Micro FourThirds G97 and the Travel Zoom TZ99 are available on a Vorgänger model, but I have not yet used the EU-Vorgaben with a USB-C port connected werden.

The LUMIX TZ99 compact camera has a defined LEICA DC 24-720mm lens, which has achieved 30x optical zoom, so the digital iZoom can reach up to 60x. The integrated 5-Achsen-HYBRID OIS+ is used in photo and video mode.

4K videos can be viewed at maximum 30p, in HD with up to 120 frames per second. The neighboring touchscreen costs 1.84 million frames, just for a relatively typical compact camera.

The LUMIX TZ99 is sold in February 2025 in black (DC-TZ99E-K) and silver (DC-TZ99E-S) for a price of approximately 549 EUR.

The LUMIX G97 is now a Micro FourThirds camera with a 20.3 MP CMOS sensor compatible with a 5-Stufen-5-Achsen-Dual-ISS stabilizer for videos and photos and edge.

Also, 4K is now available at maximum 30p, which is now the official Zeitbegrenzung. Zeitlupen- (4X) or Zeitraffferaufnahmen (8X) are available in FHD. Laut Pressemitteilung sind cineastische Inhalte mit 12 Blendenstufen V-Log L “möglich”, was wir so deuten, dass ce Bildprofil ohne Aufpreis in der Camera nutzbar ist. Leider Scheint Jedoch nur a 8 Bit Aufnahme zu sein, wobei das Datenblatt hier noch unspezifisch ist. HDMI output is now limited to 8 bits.

For audio control, there is an earpiece and microphone box with a manual tuning key. The touchscreen costs 1.84 million image points, the OLED-Live-View-Finder based on 2,360 million image points.

The LUMIX G97 sold from February 2025 for a price of 749 euros (UVP) for the body (DC-G97E), 949 euros (UVP) for the 12-60 mm lens kit (DC-G97ME) and 1,049 euros (UVP) for the 14-140mm kit lens (DC-G97HE) is installed properly.
