“It’s been a crazy ride,” Mahira shared, speaking about the ups and downs of her journey. “My audience went through this journey with me – the divorce, having a baby, being single for so long, these photos that were published, being banned somewhere else in another country… it was just insane,” he said. she said, adding “those were tough times and amazing times, but there were also tougher times but I chose not to share them.

In the viral photos with Ranbir, Mahira admitted that she feared that this could mark the end of her career. “’Little White Dress’ was published by the BBC and I didn’t understand the brilliance of it at the time. Actually, I think that might be the case. I remember reading it and thinking, “Is my career over?” In that article it said: “Here’s a woman who has achieved this kind of success that no one in Pakistan has achieved, with all the endorsements and all that, and now it’s all gone. What will happen to him? I read it and I was like, “Damn.” But I was like, ‘Are you crazy? It’s going to end”, maybe it was Mahira, 14, who told me. But I won’t lie: this period was very difficult. I didn’t get out of bed, I cried every day, that was affecting my professional and personal life. A lot of things happened on my personal side,” she revealed.

Despite the emotional weight, Mahira found strength in herself and her decisions. “I did the right thing personally. I made personal choices that were right for me and my child. Professionally, I stayed silent because I knew at that moment I couldn’t say anything. All the brands called me and said we’re with you,” she said.
