I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! returned to ITV this evening with another star-studded line-up. The show’s hosts, Ant and Dec, kicked off proceedings with their annual celebrity review, but viewers shared the same concern.

Ant and Dec looked through this year’s line-up to introduce viewers to the cast. McFly’s Danny Jones was touted as one of the top contenders while others were teased about career highlights.

Ant and Dec particularly highlighted Coleen Rooney and her public feud with Rebekah Vardy. The 38-year-old, who is married to former Everton striker Wayne Rooney, made national headlines after accusing Rebekah Vardy’s Instagram account of selling stories about her to the press.

Dec said: “It would be good for Coleen to face a trial that doesn’t involve Rebekah Vardy.” The direct hit was expected, but viewers at home have already had enough of the commentary on the feud.

User X TVqueertiques said: “First mention of Rebekah Vardy… how much are we waiting for this series?!” Exilesmtr said: “Oh my god, 3 minutes in and we’ve already heard a joke about Rebekah Vardy… I’m tired.”

Matthew Saunders said: “In true Ant and Dec fashion, it took literally two minutes for a joke about Rebekah Vardy.” Naimh Young said: “When it’s 30 seconds and already a Rebekah Vardy joke.”

The first group of celebrities to arrive included Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, McFly’s Danny Jones and former X-Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos. They were tasked with drinking an anti-bug smoothie that would determine their order of entry into the jungle.
