Christmas fashion tips from an expert

CLEMMIE Fieldsend, fashion editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.

AVOID: Christmas sweaters
They are no longer a novelty gag, they have now become old-fashioned again and no longer have their place at a festive party.
By all means, take part in Christmas Sweater Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.

USE: Burgundy
You can’t escape burgundy this time of year and it’s a luxurious, deep and rich color that’s a welcome break from Santa’s red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.

TO AVOID: pajamas
The trend of outfits trimmed with feathers has had its day and is so out of fashion.
Don’t take out your plucked hair this year and buy a new ensemble, opt for the satin two-piece instead, but just avoid the feathers.

WEAR: Sequin dress
Try changing up the sequins slightly by wearing them with a different texture or color, for example a sequin skirt with a stylish knit.
But when you really don’t know what to wear and you wear glitter, it’s Christmas after all.

AVOID: Sequin blazer
There’s nothing worse than showing up to a festive event that looks like engaged entertainment.
Leave the sequinned blazer to magicians and strict judges, always opt for a classic or velvet tuxedo style.

WEAR: Bling pants
Last season, rhinestone-embellished jeans had a moment, and this year they’ll be just as popular.
If you don’t want gems to stand out everywhere you go, try metallic PU pants.

One reviewer gave them a five-star rating and said: “Fabulous shoes! I needed shoes for a Christmas wedding and these were exactly what I needed! »

And someone else, who also gave them five stars, described them as “the perfect Christmas slingbacks”, saying: “This shoe dresses up your jeans and your Good superior outfit.”

“They are extremely comfortable and a huge advantage is that the back does not slip!

“I have worn these shoes with many different outfits and received compliments every time!”
