It includes 500 Good Food Guide reviews searchable via an interactive map and a ‘nearby’ feature, as well as 10,000 recipes, a daily feed of restaurant news and healthy eating advice.

A new era for Australian food and drink culture has arrived, with today’s launch of the Good Food app, a complete digital experience for dining out and dining out.

As well as featuring 10,000 recipes from Australia’s leading chefs and recipe creators, a daily feed of restaurant news, nutrition and healthy eating advice, for the first time, the annual bible for restaurant reviews and the house of hats, the Good food guidewill be available in interactive digital form.

“This means diners can view over 500 independent reviews of the 2025 Sydney Morning Herald’s healthy eating guide Editing on the go via a dynamic map and location-based “nearby” feature. “It’s like having a Good food guide reviewer on speed dial. With finances tighter than ever, having advice on what’s worth your money in a multitude of dining options and being able to trust those recommendations makes the Good Food app very convenient.

This is an exciting development for the Good Food brand, says Erina Starkey, editor-in-chief of the Good Food app. “You can browse the signature Guide collections, such as one hat, two hats and three hats recommendations, as well as critics’ picks and lists of the best cafes, bars and pubs.

“You can also search for reviews on prices, styles and suburbs, and filter by cuisine types and dietary requirements, taking the guesswork out of the perfect night out.”

The Good Food app is also useful for a night out. Take the guesswork out of meal planning with recipes from top chefs and cooks including Adam Liaw, Nagi Maehashi (aka RecipeTin Eats), Karen Martini, Neil Perry and Julia Busuttil Nishimura. You can also up your cooking game with masterclasses and cooking tips.
