Madnolsavam OTT release: When and where to watch Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer comedy-drama online

Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer Madnolsavam is finally making its way to the streaming platform after a theatrical release a year ago. The comedy-drama directed by Sudheesh Gopinath was released in theaters on April 14, 2023.

Despite releasing a year ago, the film is now only making its way to the OTT space as it will be released on Amazon Prime Video on December 20, 2024. The official confirmation regarding this was made by the production house at through an Instagram story.

The satirical comedy Madnolsavam focuses on the story of two individuals with the same first name, Madanan. While one comes from a poor background and earns money by selling painted chicks, the other is a rich man who is about to run for office.

However, the life of Madanan, who has a modest financial background, takes a turn for the worse when he is presented as a dummy candidate in the elections by the dominant party. This act of the party to confuse voters turns the protagonist’s life into a mess as he struggles between the two political parties.

The rest of the film focuses on whether Madanan, from a poor background, would be able to endure the difficult situation he found himself in while being tossed around by his aunt and a widow with a son.

The film, written by Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval of Nna Thaan Case Kodu fame, had actors like Babu Antony, Rajesh Madhavan, Renji Kankol and Bhama Arun in key roles. The film’s music was composed by Christo Xavier.

Moving forward, Suraj Venjaramoodu was last seen in the film Mura, directed by Muhammad Musthafa. The action thriller featured the story of a heist and how things go wrong between four young people. Apart from Suraj, the film also had actors Hridhu Haroon, Krish Hassan, Maala Parvathi, Kani Kusruti and many others in key roles.

Additionally, the actor is next set to play the lead role in the film ED – Extra Decent, which is scheduled to release on December 20, 2024. Additionally, the actor will also soon make his Tamil cinema debut with Chiyaan Vikram, starring Veera Dheera Sooran. : Part 2.
