Atul Subhash’s mother approached the Supreme Court where she filed a Habeas Corpus petition regarding the fate of the deceased technician’s child.

Notably, no information about Atul’s child has been revealed since the man committed suicide earlier this month at his Bengaluru residence. According to the lawyer, Atul’s mother has filed a complaint since her grandson has not yet been handed over to them and no one knows his whereabouts.

“They are worried about his whereabouts since Atul’s wife is in detention, and his two family members are also now in detention,” the lawyer said.

The lawyer said authorities from three places – Uttar Pradesh (Jaunpur, where Atul’s wife belongs), Bangalore (where Atul committed suicide) and Haryana (where Nikita was arrested from Gurugram) – are involved and none of them knows where. the child is.

The Supreme Court issues an opinion

Taking cognizance of the plea, the top court issued a notice to the three states and directed them to ascertain the whereabouts of the child.

The next hearing in this case will take place in January.

Atul committed suicide this month and left behind a 24-page note and a video lasting more than an hour, detailing the alleged harassment of his wife and family. Bengaluru police filed a complaint after her video and suicide note went viral on social media, sparking a storm online.

Police arrested Nikita from Gurugram along with her mother and brother from Prayagraj. They were taken into custody.

Earlier, his family had raised suspicions about their grandson’s life and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter and help bring the child home.

“We don’t know where she kept our grandson. Was he killed or is he alive? We don’t know anything about him. I want my grandson to be with us,” Atul’s father Pawar Kumar had said.
