Producer prices in Slovenia fall more slowly

LJUBLJANA (dpa-AFX) – Producer prices in Slovenia continued their downward trend in November, according to figures published on Friday by the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

Industrial producer prices fell 0.4 percent year-on-year in November, a slower decline than the 1.3 percent drop recorded in October. Prices have been falling since January.

Prices of products for sale in the domestic market decreased by 0.9 percent, while those in foreign markets increased by 0.1 percent.

Among major sectors, prices for electricity supply alone fell 2.1 percent annually in November, and those for manufacturing and mining and quarrying fell 0.3 percent.

On a monthly basis, producer prices rebounded by 0.5 percent compared to a decline of 0.5 percent in October.
