Another national restaurant chain is moving into the growing mixed-use development on North Hamilton Road.

National steakhouse chain Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is building a new restaurant at 6036 N. Hamilton Road, according to development plans filed with the city of Columbus.

This will be the chain’s second location in central Ohio, following the location at 8760 Sancus Blvd. in downtown Polaris. Firebirds has more than 60 restaurants across the country, including locations outside of Cincinnati, Cleveland and Youngstown.

Plans show a 6,000-square-foot restaurant with a 500-square-foot patio on a 2-acre site located northwest of North Hamilton Road and East Dublin Granville Road.

Firebirds specializes in aged, hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood and is known for its scratch food, bold flavors and welcoming atmosphere, according to the restaurant’s website.

The steakhouse is just the latest restaurant coming to Hamilton Quarter, the 200-acre mixed-use development at Hamilton Road and Ohio 161 that already is home to Chick-fil-A, Torchy’s Tacos, DiBella’s Subs, Texas Roadhouse, Chili’s Grill & Bar and more.

CASTO has partnered with Daimler, The New Albany Company and Capitol Square on the Hamilton district, which is designed to include 600,000 square feet of office space, a hotel and 1 million square feet of retail space, restaurant and entertainment once completed, according to a previous Dispatch report.

In addition to retail and restaurant tenants, Hamilton Quarter includes the Big Lots corporate headquarters, a campus of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, a Fairfield Inn & Suites, the Wesley Woods Retirement Center and the Resort. HQ Flats apartments.
