Paul spoke about losing his “anonymity” due to his high-profile acting career and candidly added: “If it becomes overwhelming, I’ll just stop doing big films like this.”

It comes as the Normal People actor – who revealed he was a quivering wreck during his first meeting with Gladiator 2 director Sir Ridley Scott – will be seen in what many have dubbed “the best film in the year.”

The Sun claims Paul, who plays Lucius, will wow fans with his epic fight scenes as he takes on giant rhinos and apes with his bare hands in the long-awaited film sequel.

Yet in an interview on Wednesday on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show with the National Lottery on Virgin Radio UK, he appeared open to the idea of ​​tackling the meteoric fame the role would bring him.
