Customers’ repair items safe after items trashed and stolen from Co Tyrone jewelers – The Irish News

A Co Tyrone jeweler is offering a reward for information after his premises were ransacked and items stolen.

The break-in happened at D&K The Jewelers on Dunnamore Road, near Cookstown, shortly after midnight on Monday, December 16.

Two masked men ransacked the store, stealing several items before fleeing.

In a statement posted on social media following the burglary, a Dunnamore company spokesperson reassured customers who had left items for repair before the store was targeted.

“Sleepless night and disorder this morning. Stock stolen but fortunately our customers’ jobs are safe,” they said last Monday.

“As everyone knows, we also carry out a lot of repair and renovation work and it is a privilege to be entrusted with our customers’ special jewelry. We are always very grateful.

They added there was “a lot of organization required” to replace stock ahead of a busy shopping week before Christmas.

In a follow-up message, they added: “If anyone has a door camera, dash cams, etc. may contain information, please contact us. We are reviewing our own CCTV footage and the incident took place around midnight on 15/12/24.

“It’s not good to think that these people are lurking around our neighborhood at all times, let alone in the dark of the night. Reward for information that leads to prosecution.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Investigations are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who witnesses anything suspicious in the area to contact police on 101 and quote reference 2 of 16/12/24. »
