Bomb threat against Delhi schools

As frequent bomb scares cause panic among school authorities, the Delhi Police has decided to train teachers and school staff to deal with such crises, an official said on Monday.

The police will organize a seminar in collaboration with the Ministry of Education for teachers of all public and private schools, he said.

“We will teach how to stay calm, react and coordinate with the police during a bomb threat in schools,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam.

He said the training session would also raise awareness about cybercrime.

Several schools in Delhi have received fake bomb threats in the last 10 days. The threats disrupted classes and triggered multi-agency search operations.
