Ruben Amorim admitted everyone at Manchester United was “suffering” and “tired” of losing after going down 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils were looking for back-to-back Premier League wins following a 2-1 derby knockout of rivals Man City last week, but suffered a humiliating defeat at Old Trafford.

Supporters booed as a fourth defeat in six games kept United in the bottom half of the table at Christmas for the first time since 1989.

“Right now everything is so difficult,” Amorim said. “For a club like Manchester United to lose 3-0 at home is really difficult for everyone.

“The fans are really disappointed and tired. This can be felt in the stadium from the first match. I understand that, but we have to face it. I felt it from the first minute, there is a lot of anxiety.

“We want to score but we are too nervous. After this third goal, everyone in the stadium suffers: the supporters, the players, everyone.

Man United now languish in 13th place in the Premier League table, nine points behind the top four.

With this victory, Bournemouth overtook Man City in the table to move up to fifth place.

“Everyone in the club is tired of these moments. We have to face it and focus on the next game.

Amorim also admitted his United side buckled under pressure against the Cherries and suggested the worst was yet to come.

“This match was tough for us. We struggled again at set pieces and we were a bit nervous, I felt it in the stadium,” he told Sky Sports earlier.

“The penalty and another goal are really tough here. We tried to score a few goals but it was a difficult game so let’s move on.

“If you look at the match, we didn’t concede anything before the first goal, we had chances. If we manage to score the first goal, the game should be different. We want to score but we are too nervous. We have to fight against this.

“After the penalty we have to control the game better because we know this situation is really difficult. We have to control this moment better.

“We have to focus on the work and not on how it feels in the stadium. It’s the only way I know to concentrate my players.

“We still have to suffer but we will try to win. We will do it until the end.
