THE Repair Shop’s Jay Blades appeared to be replaced by a star of The One Show in the first photos from the Christmas special.

Blades, 54, faces trial following May after denying engaging in controlling or coercive behavior between January 2023 and September 2024.

Roman, 31, helps The One Show winner Kat refurbish her tattered teddy bear after a collaboration between the two Beeb shows.

And it seems this isn’t the first time Roman has attempted to repair a family treasure.

He said, “So last year, my mom’s favorite Christmas The angel she had since the day she was born was completely torn apart by our family dog.

“And I wanted to get it repaired, see shows like The Repair Shop and see how emotional people can overcome these nostalgic things.

“So I got it fixed for my mother and it made our Christmas, it was the happiest time.

“On The One Show, we wanted to give the same feeling I had with my family last year, to a deserving viewer.

“And that person was Kat from Oxfordshire, whose amazing teddy bear she has had since birth… unfortunately she was also attacked by a family dog and has a huge hole in her side.

“She wants to pass this teddy bear on to her wonderful son Freddie who has done amazing things and raised over £4,000 for his sadly deceased grandfather.

“It will be the most special Christmas gift they could ask for as a family and something that will become a constant in their lives for many years to come.”

Roman also talked about what it was like to enter the famous barn for the first time.

He said: “It’s really special, it’s like walking into one of your favorite TV shows, so it’s always a really cool moment.

“It’s one of those shows – you always see moments television where you feel so good and the whole family is stuck together and The Repair Shop is a show that does that a lot.”
