Best and worst players against the 49ers

The Miami Dolphins put together one of their most complete performances of the year in a 29-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

While Miami’s offense could have taken more chances rather than settling for five field goals, it avoided turnovers, threw just two punts and racked up its most yards since the week 1. The Dolphins defense folded a lot on Sunday, allowing 374 yards of offense, but got stops when it mattered most and held the 49ers to just two touchdowns and a field goal on five zone drives red.

The Dolphins still need a lot of help to make the playoffs after their victory in their finale at Hard Rock Stadium. But it was a good sign that Miami didn’t throw in the towel on its season.
