The 49ers passing attack had some success, but the Dolphins did a good job without breaking.

San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy completed 65 percent of his 40 passes for 313 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. The 49ers saw plenty of production from tight end George Kittle – who had eight catches for 106 yards – and wide receiver Deebo Samuel – who caught seven passes for 96 yards and a touchdown.

In the first half, the 49ers scored on two of five drives, with only one ending in a touchdown.

Some of the Niners’ second-half failures were their fault, but Miami did a solid job putting themselves in good position. Thanks to a missed field goal, the Dolphins only allowed one touchdown in the second half before forcing a punt, a Kader Kohou interception and a turnover on downs to close the game.
