Viral Caesar Salad Martini Recipe Leaves Fans Petrified: ‘Nasty’

TikTok users have been left divided over a viral recipe for a Caesar salad martini – and it’s pretty chard to believe.

The recipe was posted this week on the social media platform by culinary creator Logan Moffitt, who went viral this summer for his innovative cucumber salad preparations.

Moffitt, who is based in Canada, blew up after featuring recipes for sliced cucumbers with ingredients like lox, ranch mix, kimchi and chamoy.

Now he’s venturing into the world of cocktail making and using equally interesting ingredients in his alcoholic drinks.

In a new clip, Moffitt created what he called a Caesar salad martini, showing viewers step-by-step instructions on how they can make it themselves at home.

To start, he added ice to his martini shaker, along with two glasses of chilled Gray Goose vodka.

But then things started to get interesting.

Moffitt showed off a jar of homemade Caesar dressing he had made and added three spoonfuls of it to the mixture.

“There are anchovies, parmesan and lemon juice in here,” he said of the dressing.

“It’s going to go so well in there,” the designer added.

Then, to make it a real martini, he added a little olive juice to the garlic, then shook the mixture in his cocktail shaker.

In another glass he then poured a little vermouth, tipped it over and rimmed the glass with a slice of lemon.

As a garnish, he rolled the rim in freshly grated Parmesan, then poured the drink from the shaker.

“Wow, this looks so good,” the content creator remarked while admiring the drink.

To top it off, he sprinkled some pepper, along with some olive oil and a few garlic-stuffed olives on a stick.

Then came the moment of truth: the taste test.

As a garnish, he then rolled the rim in freshly grated parmesan and then poured the drink from the shaker.

Moffitt took a large gulp of the drink, smacking his lips as he said, “Mmmm.”

“It tastes like a Caesar salad,” he admitted as he continued to sip.

“It’s beautiful, I’m afraid it’s the dirtiest martini,” he concluded.

However, in the comments section of his video, many users couldn’t believe what they were seeing and roasted him for the mix.

“I’m a big fan of a dirty martini, but this seems so nasty I don’t need to drink the salad dressing,” one person wrote.

Another agreed: “I love Caesar salad so much I could eat it every day.” I am petrified of this drink. That’s all.

“I don’t think my taste buds will ever mature to this point,” someone else wrote.

One user commented: “It’s just a cold vodka and vinegar soup. »

However, in the comments section of his video, many users couldn’t believe what they were seeing and roasted him for the mix.

But other TikTokers disagreed – and thought it looked like the perfect cocktail.

“I’m in the minority but low key, I think it would be good, especially with olives, omgg,” someone wrote.

Another agreed: “idc, if it’s a soup, salad or sauce, I WANT IT.”

“I love these salty drinks, ignore the haters,” someone else shared.
