Kate Middleton regretted her Christmas outfit for a very relevant reason and told a fan “I really shouldn’t have worn that”

EVERYONE has an outfit they regret wearing – and that reassuringly includes the perfect Princess of Wales.

Princess Kate, 42, always looks impeccably dressed on public occasions, but she admitted there was one Christmas ensemble she wished she hadn’t worn.

In 2019, the royal mother-of-three was seen heading to church at the Sandringham Estate in a chic gray Catherine Walker coat.

The princess of Wales completed the look with a stylish matching hat, clutch and forest green heels.

Kate looked undeniably stylish, and her main problem wasn’t the look of the outfit but rather the practicality.

Christmas Day that year was “unseasonably warm” and Kate began to feel uncomfortable in her coat.

Royal fan Rachel Anvil, who was part of the crowd waiting for the royals, was told by Princess Kate that she regretted her outfit, claims Metro.

Rachel’s mother Karen said: “Kate was talking to my daughter about the clothes and how she was too hot, she said ‘I really shouldn’t have worn that.’

“I’m here talking about dolls with Charlotte and my daughter is talking about fashion with Kate.”

“It wasn’t fake, it was a real discussion, it lasted about a minute but it was tailored to my daughter, it was like talking to a friend.”

Kate style icon

Fashion expert Amber Graafland told Fabulous: “There is no doubt that the Princess of Wales has established herself as a global style icon.

“Fashion choices aside, during her years in the royal spotlight, she learned to echo the same tactics adopted by the late queen.

“Whether it’s choosing bright colors that make one stand out during public engagements, wearing a national color to show respect to a host country, or opting for symbolic jewelry to honor deceased loved ones , she has mastered the art of sartorial symbolism.

“The princess uses her clothing to send coded messages and often incorporates hidden homages and powerful symbols into her attire.”

Who is Princess Kate’s stylist?

PRINCESS Kate is particularly close to her senior private executive assistant Natasha Archer, who has worked with her since 2007.

Natasha has worked as Kate’s personal assistant and stylist and has been a “pillar of strength” for the royal family as she undergoes preventative cancer treatment.

Earlier this year, Natasha was one of the few people seen leaving the London Clinic, where Kate was staying following her abdominal operation in January.

The princess of Wales beamed earlier this month as she hosted her star-studded Christmas celebrations at Westminster Abbey, in the most poignant Christmas carol service yet amid her cancer diagnosis.

The princess told last year’s Christmas event that she “didn’t know” what 2024 had in store for her, as she spoke to singer Paloma Faith.

The artist, who performed during the festivities, expressed his sympathy for the princess, who underwent chemotherapy this year.

Kate confessed: “I didn’t know that this time last year it would be the year I just had.”

The princess, who married Prince William in 2011 and attended the late Queen’s funeral in 2022 at the abbey, also talked about how the building held “so many memories” for him.

The royal was admitted to London Clinic for major abdominal surgery in January this year, before bravely announcing her cancer diagnosis in March.

She only attended a handful of public events throughout her recovery, including Trooping the Colour, the Wimbledon men’s final and the Remembrance Sunday cenotaph service.

In September, Kate posted another touching video message in which she shared that she had finished chemotherapy and was focused on being “free from cancer.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, are expected to spend Christmas Day at Sandringham with the royal family as usual this year.
