Rihanna Reveals the 2000s Outfit She Regrets Wearing: ‘What the Fuck Was I Thinking?’

Rihanna is known for her fashion prowess, but there’s one look she absolutely regrets wearing.

On Monday, content creator Ajay Porter, also known as Mystery Fashionist to his 98,000 followers on TikTok, interviewed the Fenty Beauty founder this week — and she opened up about her biggest fashion regret from early on from the 2000s.

“Oh my God, why do you have to bring up old shit? the hitmaker, 36, responded when asked about her biggest style faux pas by Mystery Fashionist, who also interviewed Cardi B, Kevin Hart and Adam Sandler.

“When I first started, I wore baggy jeans, with the panties out,” she admitted.

“What the fuck was I thinking?” » asked the Love On The Brain singer in disbelief.

When the interviewer said the trend had resurfaced in recent years with the return of Y2K-era fashion, the mother of two joked that it was best left in the past .

Rihanna then explained what she was currently wearing and said: “It’s called growth, y’all! »

Her current outfit included a Christian Dior jacket paired with Yves Saint Laurent pants, snakeskin boots and a studded black belt.

The hit singer told the fashion guru that she can’t live without a good New York cap, fitted vintage jeans and her “little LV monogrammed croc speedy bag.”

The Umbrella singer said she also likes to wear underwear from her hugely popular brand Savage X Fenty.

Rihanna was a big fan of showing glimpses of her underwear under ultra-low-rise jeans when she first started her career in the early 2000s.

She often attended award shows in 2005 and 2006 while wearing the style she now hates, paired with crop tops or sparkly hoodies.

Since her pop music debut, she has become a certified fashionista, known for her bold red carpet outfits and iconic street style.

Commenters loved it opening in the interview, with one saying she “gives off good vibes.”

“Everything she wears is beautiful,” one complimented.

Rihanna is regularly seen going on lavish shopping trips with her longtime partner, A$AP Rocky, whom she has been dating for almost five years.
