All new destinations from Liverpool Airport in 2025

A number of new destinations have been announced for next year

Everyone on Merseyside knows that it’s quicker, cheaper and more pleasant to fly from Liverpool John Lennon Airport than anywhere else in the country. If you’re planning a holiday next summer and want to fly from Liverpool, you have even more destinations to choose from, with several new names added to the airport’s growing list of destinations.

We’ve listed the new destinations below, providing details on flight times, travel dates, airlines and, where possible, prices. We’ve also given you a brief overview of each location to give you an overview of the destinations and help you plan your next vacation.

Split, Croatia

EasyJet has announced a new twice-weekly route to Split from June 9, 2025. It will operate on Mondays and Fridays throughout the summer, with fares starting from £34.99.

EasyJet describes Split as “a city break that combines seaside freshness with old-world charm.” It is known for its breathtaking landscapes, bordered by the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea and its urban beaches.

Croatia’s second city is a maze of cobbled streets and pretty alleyways full of culture and history. Split is also home to great food, lively bars and charming cafes. If you want to explore further, you can take a boat to the islands of Hvar, Brač and Vis from Split ferry port.

Berlin, Germany

Direct flights from Speke to Berlin will begin in February, connecting Liverpool with the German capital for the first time in years. Flights will begin on February 14, with two flights per week. They will operate on Mondays and Fridays, for one hour and 55 minutes, with prices starting from £24.

Berlin is located in eastern Germany, on the banks of the Spree River, and is an incredibly popular city destination. It has iconic sites, great museums, rich history, stunning architecture and, as you would expect in Germany, excellent beer. Berlin is also known for its gastronomic offerings and its booming modern art scene.

Berlin is a great city to visit all year round. In summer it is warm and pleasant, and in winter it is cold and cool, providing an excellent setting for its famous Christmas markets.

Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt

easyJet direct flights from Liverpool to Sharm el Sheikh start in February, with two flights per week on Mondays and Fridays. The first flight leaves Speke on February 14, with prices starting from £107.

Sharm el-Sheikh began life as a simple fishing village, but its long stretches of soft golden sand have made it today Egypt’s premier beach resort. Divers and snorkelers flock there to explore the area’s amazing marine life, which includes 1,000 species of fish.

In Sharm el-Sheikh, you’ll find international cuisine, great bars and lively clubs, but you’ll also experience traditional Egyptian culture, with authentic old markets, beautiful mosques and Coptic churches.

Leros, Greece

Package holiday company and airline Jet2 has announced it will launch trips to the Greek island of Leros in summer 2025. Customers can reach Leros via Kos Airport, with weekly Jet2 services to departing from Liverpool John Lennon Airport from next summer.

Those traveling with Jet2holidays will benefit from included ferry and shuttle transfers. About Leros, Jet2 says: “Part of the Dodecanese Islands, Leros is known for its crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and peaceful atmosphere, making it the ultimate choice for a relaxing and tranquil summer vacation .

“Leros also offers the opportunity to take three different snapshots of the island through the capital, Platanos, with its ridge of hills and clusters of windmills; Agia Marina – offering traditional residences, stately homes and architecture; and Panteli, a traditional fishing village. Its convenient location also makes it easy to explore the neighboring islands of Kalymnos, Kos and Nisyros.

Costa de la Luz, Spain

Jet2 Holidays will launch package holidays to Spain’s Costa de la Luz from Liverpool for summer 2025. Customers will be able to access the region via Faro Airport for the first time.

The vacation will begin in May 2025 and continue until October. Flights will be operated to Faro, from where it is a short drive to the four Jet2 resorts on the Costa de la Luz: Punta Umbria, Isla Canela, Isla Cristina and El Rompido.

About the destination, Jet2 says: “The Costa de la Luz, also known as the ‘Coast of Light’, is a stunning location on the southwest coast of Spain, making it the ideal choice for a vacation in the sun. for its golden sandy beaches, it stretches along the sparkling Atlantic, from Tarifa to the pretty Portuguese border.

“This diverse region is made up of quiet beach towns and vibrant cultural experiences, as well as natural parks, historic towns like Cádiz and Huelva, and top-notch golf courses.”
