Shocking! Delhi government departments term projects launched by Kejriwal ‘fraudulent’

In an unexpected move, senior Delhi government officials have disavowed registration of two projects launched by Chief Minister Atishi and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), highlighting the disagreements between the elected government of Delhi and the bureaucracy. This follows an amendment to the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) Act which brought the services department under the power of the lieutenant governor.

Departments call these schemes fraudulent

On Monday (December 23), Atishi and Kejriwal launched Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojna, under which non-taxpaying women can receive 2,100 rupees ($24.59) from the government. The second scheme, Sanjeevani Yojna, provides free health benefits to people above 60 years of age in all hospitals in Delhi.

However, the two projects are yet to be approved, sparking a debate within the ruling BJP at the centre, which accuses the AAP of misleading the people of Delhi.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development issued a public notice in newspapers stating that no such plans had been officially declared and warning people not to engage with any individual or of a political party to collect forms, applications or information for candidates. He further deemed these activities fraudulent.

“The general public is hereby informed and requested not to accept such promises from a non-existent programme, as the same are misleading and without any authority…,” the statement from the Ministry of Women and Social Development said. ‘child.

A similar notice was issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, which also declared the promises fraudulent. He also indicated that people have started to inquire about this program in public hospitals.

Kejriwal’s response to public notices

In an article on X, Kejriwal wrote, “These people are shaken by Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. They planned to arrest Atishi ji in the coming days by filing a false complaint. Before that, raids will be carried out against senior AAP leaders…”

Although permission for the scheme offering non-paying women taxes was given to the Delhi government earlier this month, the official registration portal for the scheme has not been made operational. The health care program has not yet been adopted by the government or implemented.
