A 15,000-capacity London superclub could have its license revoked in the new year following a series of security incidents.

Two deaths and a “non-fatal stabbing” in Drumsheds, Tottenham, in recent weeks are currently under police investigation.

Detectives believe the death of a 29-year-old woman who was taken to hospital after an event on Dec. 27 is linked to drug use at the scene.

The death of a 27-year-old man at an event on October 12 is also believed to be drug-related, according to the Evening Standard.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to the club on November 16 after a man was attacked with a knife.

Enfield council held an “extraordinary hearing on authorization” on December 12 after police chiefs contacted the authority.

This resulted in the decision to carry out an emergency review of the permits on January 7.

Council officials also said the club could continue to operate until then under certain conditions.

During this period, only one event took place at Drumsheds: a 15th anniversary party for British bass label UKF on December 13.

Although it took place the day after the council hearing, the event sparked an avalanche of complaints on social media referencing “terrifying” problems with overcrowding and “aggressive” security staff.

More than 2,300 people have signed a petition calling for their tickets to the event to be refunded due to “unsafe conditions.”

Attendees said they waited in line for more than two hours to get in and that a “surge” began after the doors closed after the event began.

One user commenting on the petitions said: “I’m still very anxious, covered in bruises and feeling violated by an incompetent dog handler and security.”

Another participant wrote on Instagram: “I love DRUMSHEDS and go there regularly, but last night was by far the worst experience I’ve had.”

“So disappointing to have to wait over 2 hours to get into the venue (missing the artists I wanted to see) only to then feel extremely unsafe in the venue. What happened?

No further events are planned until well after the exam.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Public safety is our priority and following a request from the Metropolitan Police, Enfield Council held an extraordinary hearing into the licensing of the Drumsheds, operated by Broadwick Live.

“This follows three serious incidents at the scene in recent weeks, with our officers investigating two unexpected deaths and a non-fatal knife attack.

“The council decided that the venue could retain its license, subject to additional conditions. We have emergency measures in place for the most recent event, including an increased police presence.

In a previous statement referring to the December 13 event, a spokesperson for Drumsheds London said the venue experienced “a number of challenges last night, including longer than usual queues and traffic jams due to a combination of factors, including enhanced safety procedures.”

Metro has contacted Broadwick Live, which operates the venue, for further comment on the licensing issues.

Enfield Council’s head of planning services said council officers and police would monitor the venue to “ensure (its) conditions are in place”.
