The drama between The Real Housewives star Dorit Kemsley and her ex-husband Paul “PK” Kemsley doesn’t seem to be ending. The two may have been married at one point, but now with their split, a lot has changed, including their dynamic. While most of their lives are showcased on a reality show, things only get worse and bigger than ever.

Dorit explained how PK’s alcoholism and drinking problems drove a wedge between them, causing him to disrespect her. On the other hand, he felt that she had really changed along the way and that she was no longer the woman he knew before he started filming the series. Here’s what the businessman said when asked if he regretted being on the reality show.

During his appearance on the Hot Mic podcast, he sat down and talked about his side of the story and reacted to comments Dorit made about him on the show. When asked if he regretted doing the show, he said. “Now, yeah. Of course yes. I’m not with the love of my life. So, of course, I regret it,” insinuating that the show was a factor in their split.

PK also mentioned that it was “emotionally difficult” for him to watch the show because he saw Dorit mention bankruptcies, gambling debts, DUIs and how she supported him. He added that it wasn’t entirely true because all the financial and gambling problems happened long before he met her. The 57-year-old said he has not played since 2008 and is no longer drinking, thus being on a long-term recovery path.

He added that he sees someone he loves talking about the darkest times of his life on television and suggesting that she held his hand during those times. PK said it was sometimes hard to watch that because a lot of those, she wasn’t with him. He mentioned how he felt she was “emotionally distraught and unhappy” and those moments were at an all-time low. Mauricio stepped in and said he was proud of PK for overcoming his drinking problems.

“Suddenly I see my wife becoming someone who is a completely different person than the person I met, married and fell in love with,” PK said during the conversation. He felt like he hadn’t changed at all after all the fame of being on RHOBH. During this time, he felt that Dorit had changed enormously. He also said that “his account of what happened is very different from mine.”
