The list of special guests recruited for Netflix shows An Absurd Christmas with Sabrina Carpenteris the opposite of absurdity.

Carpenter, 25, debuted the trailer for his holiday special, which premieres Dec. 6 on Netflix, during the final U.S. leg of his Short n’ Sweet Tour at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Monday (18). november.

The “Please Please Please” chart star sings “ho, ho, ho” in the trailer before teasing her duets with Chappell Roan, Tyla and Shania Twain for the Christmas special.

The trailer, set to Carpenter’s sultry song “A Nonsense Christmas,” begins with the “Taste” singer warming up viewers by saying, “Christmas is coming early this year — I wouldn’t count on a silent night.” »

Other artists or people making appearances in sketches will include singer Kali Uchis, Abbott Elementary School the star Quinta Brunson, the model Cara Delevingne, Saturday evening live the former Kyle Mooney, Smart book the actor Nico Hiraga, Tips actress Megan Stalter, Elf the musical star Sean Astin, Theater camp actor Owen Thiele and I’m totally fine star Jillian Bell.

Sam Wrench, who led the Taylor Swift: the era tourconcert film, was director of An absurd Christmas.

The guest announcement did not specify which songs the singers would perform, but the logline for An absurd Christmas has confirmed that the special will include performances of “songs from Carpenter’s Holiday EP.” fruit cake and other iconic, chart-topping holiday covers.

Carpenter memorably performed covers of songs by two of his guests: “Good Luck, Babe!” » by Roan. For BBC Radio 1from the Live Lounge series and Twain’s “That Don’t Impress Me Much” during his September 25 tour.

Twain said E! News in September that Carpenter’s cover was “a huge compliment”, adding “(Carpenter is) such a talented person! She’s smart.”

At one point in the Netflix special, Carpenter, Brunson and Delevingne will play the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

“I love your bangs, they’re cute,” Brunson tells Carpenter in the trailer, to which she responds, “Thanks. I got them because he ghosted me.

The “Espresso” singer can also be seen sitting on Santa’s lap. At the end of the trailer, Santa puts a spin on Carpenter’s viral lyric “I work late because I’m a singer” by singing, “I work late because I’m Santa.”

An Absurd Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter premieres December 6 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Netflix.
