NVIDIA Corporation’s third-quarter profit rises, beating estimates

SANTA CLARA (dpa-AFX) – NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) reported third-quarter profit, up from the same period last year and above Street estimates.

The company’s net income was $19.309 billion, or $0.78 per share. That compares to $9.243 billion, or $0.37 per share, in the third quarter of last year.

Excluding items, NVIDIA Corporation reported adjusted earnings of $20.010 billion, or $0.81 per share for the period.

Analysts on average expected a profit of $0.75 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analyst estimates generally exclude special items.

The company’s revenue for the quarter increased 93.6% to $35.082 billion, compared to $18.120 billion last year.
