Despite his fame and fame, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known to be very down-to-earth and humble. He is undeniably one of the most talented actors and enjoys worldwide popularity. But did you know that the actor almost left Bollywood? SRK confessed that he almost quit acting early in his career, realizing he wasn’t the best actor after seeing other actors on set.

While speaking at the World Freight Summit in Delhi, Shah Rukh Khan was asked about the one thing that surprises him about his profession and if anything was different from what he thought. The superstar recalled that when he arrived on set, he thought he was the best actor. However, he got a reality check when he realized that everyone on set was behaving better than him. “I thought I was the best actor when I arrived on set. I was overconfident and realized that everyone on set was behaving better than me. I took the first flight back to Delhi and I remember there was an international flight that was 25% cheaper because I couldn’t afford the other one. I rushed to the airport, bought the ticket and wanted to go home because I realized I was a very bad actor,” he said.

He further explained, “I saw the rushes, I looked completely fake. If you haven’t been in the real world, you think you’re the best. Every time I learn more, I realize how bad I am. That’s what surprises me about acting. Sometimes I see an old film and wonder how I couldn’t do it better?” SRK said that in his 35-year career, every time he steps on a set, he realizes how much there is to know and to learn about acting.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice to the iconic character of Mufasa in the Hindi version of ‘Mufasa The Lion King’. His son Aryan Khan played the character of Simba, while AbRam joined the cast as the voice of young Mufasa. The trailer of the film was released a few days ago, while the film will hit theaters on December 20.

Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s film ‘King’, along with his daughter Suhana Khan.
