Borzo expands delivery options with 3-wheelers and trucks for larger shipments

Last update:

The new service will focus on handling heavier shipments such as furniture, replacement parts and bulk grocery orders for B2B customers.

The company’s goal is to make 500 3-wheeler and truck deliveries per day by 2025.

Borzo, formerly known as WeFast, has unveiled a new 3-wheeler and truck delivery service to accommodate larger shipments and provide more flexibility for businesses.

The move marks an important step in expanding into a new market segment, as Borzo aims to support larger deliveries for businesses in major cities.

The service will first be rolled out in Mumbai, with plans to expand to Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune by the end of 2024.

Borzo aims to have 1,500 couriers on board by then, using a mix of 3-wheelers and Tata Aces. The addition of these vehicles will allow Borzo to handle larger shipments such as furniture, repair parts and large grocery orders for B2B customers.

The company’s goal is to process 500 3-wheeler and truck deliveries per day by 2025. This initiative is part of Borzo’s strategy to capture a greater share of the B2B logistics market and to position itself as a flexible and profitable alternative to current suppliers. The goal is to balance cost and speed, providing customers with greater convenience and adaptability.

Borzo’s new fleet of 3-wheelers and trucks will integrate seamlessly with its existing services, which have seen success with 2-wheeler deliveries. Couriers will continue to work as gig workers or within small fleets, handling on-demand and end-of-day deliveries through Borzo’s app.

Initially, traditional 3-wheeled vehicles will be used, and there are plans to include electric vehicles in the future. Couriers, owners of their vehicles, will have the flexibility to manage their schedules, thus guaranteeing high efficiency of operations.

“As the demand for heavier and more massive cargo shipments continues to increase, we could not handle all of these shipments with our two-wheeler fleet alone,” said Alina Kisina, CEO of Borzo.

To promote the service, Borzo will offer special promotional codes, guaranteeing competitive prices to B2B customers.
