A wanted man thought he could escape justice, but he would end up being arrested. Kieran Gallagher, of Cherry Sutton, Widnes, was sentenced to 44 months in prison on November 15 at Liverpool Crown Court.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis), two counts of possession of class A drugs (cocaine), possession of a class B drug (cannabis) and racist harassment with fear of violence. , racial harassment without fear of violence, threatening a person in public with a weapon, harassment with fear of violence, harassment without fear of violence and criminal harm.

This followed his arrest on September 18 when he was spotted in Cherry Sutton, Widnes by officers from Widnes Proactive CID. During the search, Gallagher was found to be in possession of a large quantity of cannabis, a quantity of cocaine, a burner type mobile phone and a quantity of cash. Gallagher was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of cocaine and was remanded in custody.

Gallagher was also found guilty of racist harassment and criminal damage in relation to the warrants executed following his arrest as well as the offenses for which he was wanted. Police Constable Chris Nicholls said: “Gallagher believed he could not only escape justice in connection with a previous investigation, but also commit serious offenses while he was wanted.

“Officers from Widnes Local Policing Unit will not allow this to happen and will continue to work tirelessly to locate and arrest these offenders and bring them to justice.”
