Future Drake Beef Jokes Never Happen

While many rappers and artists have commented on Duck-Kendrick Lamar beef that caught fire your calendar last spring, we have yet to hear from the two biggest potential instigators.

But now, Future and Metro Boomin – the brains behind We don’t trust you, And We still don’t trust you– were presented as GQ Hitmakers of the Year, which comes with a cover and interview that makes it hard to ignore the biggest rap beef in recent history.

They both gave their opinions on what happened, with Metro saying both albums weren’t good. entirely directed towards Drake.

“People really think we sat for two years making two albums like: Yo, f–k this guy. What kind of shit is this? » asked Metro. “You really think we’re going to spend this much time, effort and resources just trying to reach someone on an album? Exploded budgets on two albums, going over budget? This is real hatred. None of us move like that.

Metro refuses to discuss the details of what sparked her issue with Drake, but avoids swirling rumors that it was a woman.

“Me and (Drake) had a personal problem, and for the record, not because of a girl or anything stupid like that. It was a personal problem that really hurt and disappointed me,” Metro Boomin said.

The St. Louis-born producer regretted the anti-Drake Twitter tirade he launched after the jam, now admitting, “I should have been stronger than that.” It didn’t suit me.

On the other hand, Future doesn’t speak openly about his fractured relationship with the Canadian rapper, mischievously acting as if nothing happened.

“There was an ox? I didn’t even know there was beef. I didn’t know nothing was happening. I have never participated in rap battlesman,” he said.

He references Lamar’s mention of the Big Three on “Like That”, jokingly thinking that no one cared about his feelings despite the statement made in his song.

“He said ‘Big Three’ on my song. Nobody cares what I think. That’s what was so fucked up about this shit. To the point where I’m such a player that I don’t even say anything to the audience about how I feel. Like, why is everyone angry when they talk about me in my song? » says the future. “So you just forgot about me, I’m not part of that Big Three, I’m nobody on my song, man. If I hadn’t gotten angry, no one should have gotten angry! »
